As the name Roots suggests, the family has deep generational roots in the precise land where our vines’ roots are now growing. The photograph on the label features the grandfather of the owner, Thomas G. Slater, jumping his horse over a stacked stone wall characteristic of the area farms. The tradition of farming along with respect for the land is reflected both through the power of the label image and the lush taste of the wine.
